Vairi Terms of Service

Eligibility and purpose
Vairi is for adults aged 18 and over who want to meet new people and build friendships. It is not a dating service. By using Vairi you confirm that you are at least 18 and that the date of birth you give us is true.
How Vairi works
You answer a short interview, and Vairi uses your answers to introduce you to people who fit. Introductions run across Europe, the US and Canada; elsewhere you can join a waitlist for your city. Each introduction starts anonymously, and a chat opens only when both people say yes. Names and photos are shared only if both people choose to reveal them.
Vairi also hosts Vairi Nights, small online evenings for a few members at a time, currently Friday Aperitivo every Friday at 8pm UK time. Evenings are voice first and cameras are optional. At the end, each person privately chooses who they would like to keep talking to, and a chat opens only when two people choose each other.
Inside a conversation you can book a 20-minute call, start an instant voice or video call, or do things together, such as watching something or sharing a playlist. Calls are provided through a third-party video service. Features may change, and we do not guarantee a set number of introductions or that an introduction will lead to a friendship.
Free use and Founder membership
Joining, your profile, introductions, chatting with your introductions, booked 20-minute calls and Friday Aperitivo are free. Free members can send 10 messages a week to Vairi about their introductions.
Founder membership is optional. It makes your messages to Vairi unlimited and lets you start shared activities and instant calls. It costs £3.99 a month, £9.99 for three months or £19.99 a year, in GBP with VAT included where it applies. Current prices are always on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Founder membership includes a free trial that ends 7 days after you joined Vairi. A card is needed to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you chose, and the membership then renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your Personal Space or by emailing hello@vairi.app. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. If you cancel later, your membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
How to behave
Treat everyone with respect. You must not harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone, post hate speech, send spam or scams, ask anyone for money, impersonate someone else, or break the law. Because Vairi is for friendship, unwanted romantic or sexual messages count as harassment.
Do not share another member's name, photo or other personal details without their consent, including after a reveal, and do not record calls or evenings without the agreement of everyone taking part.
Safety and moderation
Messages are checked automatically for safety and policy breaches. Every conversation has reporting and blocking. Repeated breaches lead to suspension under a three-strike policy, and serious breaches can lead to immediate suspension. For urgent safety concerns, email safety@vairi.app.
Vairi is an online service and does not arrange in-person meetings. If you choose to meet someone offline, you do so at your own risk.
AI features
Vairi, the AI host, suggests introductions, conversation ideas and things to do together. It can make mistakes, so use your own judgement. Vairi is not a crisis, medical, legal or mental-health service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services (999 in the UK).
If you opt in, Vairi may learn non-sensitive details from your own messages to improve future introductions. This is off by default and never includes the other person's messages.
Your content and privacy
You are responsible for what you share. Conversations are private between the people in them, and chat history from a closed introduction is deleted 90 days after it closes. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Suspension and deleting your account
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or harm other members or the service. You can delete your account at any time from your Personal Space or by emailing hello@vairi.app. Deleting your account also cancels any Founder membership straight away, and you will not be charged again.
Limitation of liability
Vairi provides a way to meet and talk with people, but it is not responsible for what members say or do, on or off the service. Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in the app, and the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using Vairi after a change, the updated terms apply. Questions about these terms: hello@vairi.app.
